Building Bridges to Better Communication

What is an audiologist?

An audiologist is a highly educated professional specializing in the field of auditory and vestibular disorders.  To practice requires a minimum of a Master's degree, and some audiologists have doctoral degrees.

Who should see an audiologist?

Adults should contact an audiologist if they experience any of the following:

·        Difficulty understanding conversation.

·        Persistent ringing or noises in the ear.

·        Sudden hearing loss of any kind.

Children should be seen by an audiologist without delay if parents suspect any hearing problem.  Immediate attention is critical to ensure both hearing health and proper speech and language development.  Special testing equipment allows children to be evaluated at any age--including newborns.

We provide complete audiological services:

·        Evaluating and diagnosing hearing problems for children and adults

·        Vestibular testing to evaluate dizziness and balance problems

·        State-of-the-art digital hearing aids and related services

·        Assistive Listening Devices

·        Custom fit hearing protection devices (including Musicians earplugs) and swim plugs
